Finesse angling offers countless different rigs and many opportunities to guide and present our lures slowly and almost weightlessly. We will explain step by step what finesse is all about, what tackle is needed and how each technique works.
We wish you lots of fun!
Origin
The origin of many finesse techniques probably comes from the USA. Due to the clear waters and high fishing pressure, black bass anglers became creative and had to come up with some new techniques in order to continue to successfully outwit the increasingly wary black bass. Dropshots, Carolina rigs, Texas rigs and the like were gradually developed to make the lures as natural and tempting as possible. This wave of new methods also spilled over into Europe. It soon became clear that these techniques also work very well for the fish species native to our region.
What is finesse?
Finesse remains an often somewhat misunderstood topic. This is not just about particularly light weights. We are talking about ultra light fishing (UL). Rather, it is the sophisticated technique that makes it possible to offer the bait attractively. The advantages are obvious. With no other technique is it possible to offer your lure weightlessly at long range, even with heavy weights - but more on that later.

The right tackle
Especially now in the cold season, finesse methods are indispensable for many anglers. In the following blogs, we would like to take a closer look at the individual techniques. So stay tuned!
Tight lines!
