Everyone is talking about them and they are all the rage on the scene: glide and swimbaits. With their seductive action, they have a deceptively realistic swimming action and cast a spell over many anglers. They originated in the USA, where this bait is primarily used to fish for black bass. This hype has also spread to Europe in recent years, where it has been impressively demonstrated that they are the perfect bait for our native pike.
They come in different sizes, shapes and colors. Even different materials are possible: soft, hard or hybrid, i.e. a mixture of both. In most cases, they are divided into two or three parts, floating, sinking or suspended. Their swimming movements make our local predators extremely curious and often tempt them to bite. Glide or swimbaits can be used effectively and successfully all year round.

The bait
However, there is a king among these lures: The SPRO KGB Chad Shad. A glidebait in a class of its own! Created and developed in collaboration with KGB Swimbaits from the USA.
It stands out first and foremost due to its design, its workmanship and its incredibly perfect running behavior. Typical of SPRO, it has the distinctive oversized eye, realistic pectoral fins, 3D scale pattern and a hairy nylon tail fin that is second to none. The KGB Chad Shad has bearing-mounted swivels and two razor-sharp treble hooks that won't let go to prevent the fish from being levered out during the fight. With its size of 18cm and a weight of 67g, it is the perfect prey for our predators. It is a suspender and runs up to 1.2m deep. However, if you want to fish deeper, you can weight it down again and let it sink for longer. The five first-class colors leave nothing to be desired.

You don't have to be a professional
Not everyone who loves our hobby always has time to be on the water, fish regularly and gain experience. As a result, precision in lure presentation often falls by the wayside, or there is no time to deal with presentation style, running behavior or the like. In short, the lure has to run and catch even at the simplest cranking; and it does! Due to its quality standards, it can be fished by anyone and is designed in such a way that you always have full control over depth and direction. From slow-motion drags, fast retrieves and jerking movements to long glides, everything is possible. Every beginner and experienced angler can use the KGB Chad Shad effectively, whether with a spinning rod or a baitcaster.

All in all, the KGB Chad Shad is a must-have for every pike angler and those who want to become one - beginner-friendly and easy to guide. Casting and having fun is the motto here. Take a look at it live at your trusted SPRO dealer and see for yourself.
Tight lines, your SPRO team!
