The Iris Underdog is a versatile hard bait available in three versions and designed specifically for shallow-water fishing. In addition to the classic one-piece 7-cm version, the lure is also available as a two-piece jointed version in 8 cm and 10 cm, which generates even more action underwater thanks to its added mobility. All models run just below the surface and are ideal for use in water depths of approximately 10 to 80 cm. Even with a simple retrieve, the Iris Underdog displays its lively, side-to-side swimming action. The jointed versions, in particular, use their two-piece design to create an even more realistic movement, convincingly imitating a fleeing or weakened prey fish.

A major advantage of this lure is how easy it is to work. A steady retrieve is all it takes to create an attractive presentation. In addition, the Underdog works perfectly with a stop-and-go retrieve. During pauses, it comes to a brief stop and then slowly rises to the surface.
